When the bill drops, you'll already be in the room.
Decisions in Little Rock happen fast and often behind closed doors. Pinnacle Policy Group gives you a senior operator who knows the legislators, the Governor’s staff, and the agency rule-writers and who will move the day a draft hits.
What Sets Us Apart
Operator’s perspective. Built inside the Governor’s office, an Arkansas trade association, and a Fortune 500 utility not just a contact list.
Direct access. Working relationships across the executive branch, House and Senate leadership, and the agencies that write the rules.
Bias to action. We don’t bill for status updates we bill for moved bills, killed amendments, and rules you can live with.
Discretion by default. We work quietly, brief clearly, and never surprise a client in the press.
Conflict-checked engagements. We turn down work that conflicts with yours — and tell you why up front.
Quiet wins for clients who need them quietly.
Reshaped a draft rule before it hit public comment. A draft agency rule would have created a multi-million-dollar compliance burden for a regulated employer. We engaged senior agency staff during the pre-publication comment window with a tailored alternative.
Result: Rule re-issued with the client’s preferred framework adopted in full.
Killed a problematic amendment in committee. A late-session amendment threatened to upend an industry’s licensing framework. We mobilized member companies, briefed committee chairs, and presented an alternative path.
Result: Amendment withdrawn before floor vote.
Won wine sales in grocery stores after a decades-long fight. Arkansas law had long barred grocery and convenience stores from selling wine, protecting a narrow set of incumbent retailers at consumers’ expense. As head of the state’s grocery and retail trade association, we built the coalition, ran the legislative campaign, and got it across the finish line.
Result: Law changed to allow wine sales in grocery stores.
